wthr

Who is WTHR for?

We design our WTHR products for outdoor athletes of all types. We believe skin is skin, so you won't find men's or women's versions of products. And all our formulations are dermatologically tested to be safe for a variety of skin types.

Are WTHR products vegan? Do you test on animals?

We don't use any animal-derived ingredients in our products. We're also Leaping Bunny certified, meaning we don't conduct any animal testing at any stage of product development, nor do we ask others to test on our behalf, unless otherwise required by law. We do ask some human friends to test the efficacy of our products on a volunteer basis :) To read more visit Our Commitments page.

How do you decide what ingredients go in your products?

We're ingredient obsessed. We want to make sure our products are built for the performance needs of outdoor athletes, while also considering the impact on our bodies and our environment. We formulate every WTHR product to high global standards for safety and efficacy, guided by the EU Commission. We take care in choosing the best ingredients, avoiding over 1,400 globally banned skincare chemicals, like parabens, phthalates, and gluten. All our products are dermatologist tested to be safe for a variety of skin types.

Are WTHR products reef safe?

We know you might be using WTHR SPF products near the sea or other sensitive bodies of water. But what does "Reef Safe" really mean? There is no FDA-regulated definition for this, so we choose "Hawaii Act 104 Reef Compliant" as our standard. All WTHR Protect products are formulated without the chemical sunscreens Oxybenzone and Octinoxate to meet the requirements of Hawaii Act 104 Reef Compliant regulation, which notes those ingredients’ negative impact on the marine environment. So, rest assured you won't be introducing those chemicals from any WTHR products, and learn more about the biggest threats to coral reefs from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (hint: it's likely not any sunscreen).

Can I use them if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

WTHR products are generally considered safe for people who are pregnant or breastfeeding, but we recommend you always consult with your OB or child’s pediatrician before embarking on a new skincare routine.

Is your packaging recyclable?

We know that packaging is one of the trickiest things to get right in skincare. We needed light, durable packaging since we're on the go, which often means plastic. To start, we utilize Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) plastic whenever possible - currently 75% of our packaging by weight is PCR. Our material is also largely recyclable, but we recommend checking with your local recycling facilities if it can be accepted given sizing. Learn more about our sustainability efforts here.

How many uses can I expect from the Face System?

All WTHR products were designed and sized for approximately three months of consistent use. Individual preferences may affect this.

Can I take WTHR products in my carry on bag?

Yes, we designed and sized WTHR products to be 3.4oz or less, meaning they TSA compliant.

Microalgae

What is microalgae? What's the difference between micro and macroalgae?

Microalgae are typically single-celled, microscopic organisms. They're incredibly adaptable and resilient cells, thriving in some of the harshest and unlikeliest of environments, inside of a volcano. We look to them for new oils when building high performance products that support skin health.

Why does WTHR use Microalgae Oil in its products?

  • Microalgae cells are naturally excellent oil makers, fattening up with a velvety-smooth oil rich in oleic acid (otherwise known as omega-9 fatty acid) that can provide a number of skincare benefits.
  • High oleic Microalgae Oil supports skin hydration and helps reduce moisture loss. It's naturally neutral in odor, light in color, and velvety in texture.
  • Microalgae Oil is just one ingredient in our formulations, and many others provide additional benefits to the skin. Learn more about microalgae's talents in our Microalgae Education page.

Is your microalgae genetically modified?

The microalgae we use is not genetically modified. To learn more, visit our Microalgae Education page.

Payment and Orders

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club credit cards or debit cards. PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay are also accepted. Unfortunately, we cannot accept checks or money orders.

When will my card be charged?

Your card will be charged at the time of purchase, not shipping. This is good to keep in mind with pre-orders.

How can I see my order?

If you checkout as a guest, you'll receive a receipt via email. If you created an account, you can log in at any time to see your orders.

Can I cancel my order or make changes once it has been placed?

Once you've placed your order, it can't be changed online. Please contact us at orders@wthrskincare.com for help with your order.

Can I change the address on my order?

Due to our quick processing time, we cannot change an address once you place the order. Please contact the carrier directly to see if they are able to reroute the order.

Shipping, Returns and Others

How will I know that my order shipped? Can I track it?

We know that feeling of excitement waiting for an order to ship! Please allow 3 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays) for us to receive and process your order. Any order received after 12:00 PM PT will begin processing the following business day. As soon as your WTHR order is on its way, you will receive tracking information via your email.

Can I ship to a PO box or military base?

We ship using USPS, so we're able to deliver to a PO Box and military bases.

What is the return policy?

We're bummed you're not delighted by WTHR, but we get that it happens. Please find our full returns policy here.

Can I return or exchange my product?

Full instructions for how to make a return or exchange can be found on our Returns page.

How are refunds processed?

In some circumstances, our customer support team may need to review your return request. Please allow 1-2 business days to review. Once a return is dropped off and scanned by the shipping carrier, the return is processed. Credit card refunds usually take 3-10 business days to appear on your statement.

What do I do if I am missing part of my order?

Please email orders@wthrskincare.com within 48 hours of receiving your order with a photo of everything you received and the packaging. We'll make sure that you receive everything you've ordered.

What do I do if my package is missing?

If your order has been marked as delivered, but you haven't received it, please wait 3 business days before reaching out to orders@wthrskincare.com. Carriers sometimes preemptively mark a package as delivered before they actually complete the delivery. We also recommend checking with your building management, concierge, mailroom, or neighbors to see if they received the package for you.

Does WTHR share my personal information with anyone else?

We never sell your personal information to other brands or marketing companies, and we only share information when it is required to process an order or return. From time to time, we may collect and share personal information on you in order to do things like process your order or respond to your emails. Please see our full Privacy Policy for more information.

How do I best get in touch with a WTHR representative?
